Joel Harper is a long-time certified personal trainer in New York City. His fitness clients range from Olympic Medalists striving for a breakthrough performance to 10-year-old kids just learning to appreciate their health. With a client list as diverse as his training methods, Joel regularly works with well-known actors preparing for new roles, musicians embarking on a world tour and business executives desiring increased energy and strength.
Joel's training philosophies have been captured in the New York Times best-selling books YOU: THE OWNER'S MANUAL, YOU: ON A DIET, YOU: STAYING YOUNG and YOU: BEING BEAUTIFUL, and the books' companion workout DVDs. Joel's workouts have been featured in multiple publications and TV programs, from Esquire to Oprah Magazine, all because his simple yet effective, no machines, no barbells exercises get results. Joel Harper was also featured in the national PBS pledge special, YOU STEPS FOR EXTENDING YOUR WARRANTY with DR. MICHAEL ROIZEN.
Originally from Texas, Joel earned a degree in International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business. Joel was certified as a personal trainer to get into shape as a necessary part of a modeling career.
