ABOUT FOSTER & ALLEN
The story of Foster & Allen began way back in the seventies when Mick and Tony were playing together in local groups. In 1975, they got together a small band and went over to the UK to tour the Irish music venues. At this stage they had the idea of working as a duo, playing "easy listening" music with a touch of traditional Irish instruments. When their short UK tour finished they decided to let the band return to Ireland while they stayed behind to try out their duo on the public. So favorable was the response that they formed Foster & Allen and have remained together ever since, becoming one of the world's best-loved Irish balladeers. Their popular Public Television special, The Life & Times of Foster & Allen premiered nationally in 2005 and featured best of performances by the Irish duo.
