ABOUT DIONNE
Over the last five decades, Dionne Warwick has inspired and empowered millions through her music, performances, and her work as a humanitarian. Her talents have earned her all the major music awards, winning her first Grammy for Best Female Contemporary Vocal Performance in 1968 for the hit, Do You Know The Way To San Jose. She was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001 for her ability to make other people's songs into classics. After nearly sixty charted hits since her career began in the early '60s, Dionne Warwick has established herself as an international music legend and a true pioneer of the recording industry.
In 2005, Dionne graced the studios of Public Television to help promote the airing of her special In Concert Classics featuring Dionne Warwick. The program was taped in the 1970s and includes numerous chart-topping hits from the years she united with producer and song-writer Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
