Burton Cummings

ABOUT BURTON:
Born in north Winnipeg in 1947, Burton Cummings grew up with music in his household and received a degree in piano from the University of Manitoba at the age of 19. His first band was The Deverons, a quintet of local kids doing the prairie circuit. They'd already released 4 '45's and were one of the top new groups west of Toronto when he was asked to replace the recently departed Bob Ashley in Chad Allan & The Expressions, with Chad Allan and Randy Bachman.
